Flatpack DIY (Pty) Ltd is a sister company of Fit Out Kitchens CC, who has been in operation since 2006.
During the first lockdown of 2020, we decided to make ‘Flat-packed-work-from-home’ desks. The successful response enabled us to identify a huge gap in the market for flat packed units. We discovered that there are very few flat pack company’s in South-Africa that actually manufacture their own products. A big problem exists when it comes to quality of imported flat packed units as well as the rising shipping costs, which results in units becoming unaffordable.
Flatpack DIY is situated in Midrand, Gauteng. (Local is lekker)
We use an automated CNC Nesting Machine which does all our board cutting, drilling and grooving ensuring each panel is 100% accurate. Our state of the art Edging Machines have built in pre-milling, buffing and polishing stations to further ensure quality.
All our panels are labelled with a sticker to identify the different parts of the product.
Each product has detailed assembly instructions. All you need to assemble any of our products is a Phillips (+) screw driver.
